Dark Sun for EZD6 - Warrior Classes
There are three different warrior Hero Paths: Fighter, Gladiator, and Ranger.
Fighter
A trained warrior, a soldier skilled in mass warfare. Every society on Athas maintains an army of fighters to protect itself from attack or to wage wars of plunder and annihilation against its neighbours. Fighters are both the commanders and soldiers in these armies
Health: 3 Strikes
Armour: Heavy (Save against wounds on a 3+ with shield/4+ without / miraculous save 6)
Boon: Melee and Strength Tasks
Shield Sacrifice - As a free action (once per scene) you can deflect all attack damage from yourself or a close ally for this round but your shield breaks and is destroyed This manoeuvre can even be activated after the damage has been inflicted. Your armour Save then goes from 3+ to 4+ (You can avoid the break by spending 5 karma)
Dual Weapons - deadly when using two weapons. You have an extra boon when fighting with dual weapons so you roll 3D6 to attack and take the highest die. (No shield)
Gladiator
Gladiators are slaves of the city-states or merchant houses, specially trained to participate in brutal physical contests for the enjoyment of the masses. Disciplined in many diverse forms of hand-to-hand combat and skilled in the use of dozens of different weapons, gladiators are among the most dangerous warriors on Athas.
Health: 3 Strikes
Armour: Heavy (Save against wounds on a 3+ with shield/4+ without / miraculous save 6)
Boon: Athletic Tasks and Single combat
Pit Fighter - You excel at using holds, throws, and submissions to control your opponents. Remove the Bane penalty when fighting unarmed and on a Confirmed Crit you can inflict Knocked Down or Incapacitated on your opponent instead of an additional Strike.
Brutal Strikes - You are a master of two-handed weapons. You crit on a 5-6 instead of just a 6. (No shield)
Ranger
A warrior knowledgeable in the ways of the wilderness. Many slave tribesmen are rangers.
Health: 3 Strikes
Armour: Medium (Save against wounds on a 5+/ miraculous save 6)
Boon: Ranged weapons and wilderness tasks
Tracker - You can follow traces left by passing creatures.
Stealthy - You have a boon in hiding and moving around unseen.
